Trance end Pain
Who’s got your back? Your brain… Yale researchers reviewed 22 studies and discovered that psychological strategies can reduce a person’s back pain by 50 percent more than standard treatments, such as physical therapy. “Self-regulatory interventions that teach people coping strategies, such as biofeedback, cognitive-behavioral therapies, and self hypnosis, were the most effective,” says senior author Robert D. Kerns, PhD, adding that these methods both distract sufferers and reduce the brain’s response to pain. If your back is barking, talk to your doctor about combining one of the above approaches with your current course of treatment.
